Here is what some of our students said about the class:

“The Art of Living Well” provided practical lessons and tools that I have been able to incorporate into my daily life. For instance, I had always wanted to establish a prayer/meditation practice, and I had started and stopped many times. It was through “The Art of Living Well” that I was finally able to understand how meditation can work in my life and actually broke through the patterns I had previously held. Through Mary and Wendy’s coaching and through practicing together over the course of many weeks, I now feel at ease dropping down into quiet reflection or taking time to breathe. ~KP

I attended The Art of Living Well classes and I am so glad that I did! I have learned that simply paying attention to my breathing and my thoughts can help me to relax. The importance of self care demands a new direction to my behavior. Many thanks to Mary and Wendy for this class.-CE

The Art of Living Well’s 6-part introspection classes, ranging from self-reflection to self-care, allows us to see things more broadly, and learn, strangely, how each fit into our own lives.  Pausing to notice that we are on a journey can allow us to figure out how to be our happiest.

My simplified take-away from the course is to reinforce this lumberjack’s question:  “As the lumberjack comes under more pressure to cut down more trees each day, what is his best course of action?”

Saw each tree faster

Work out at the gym each evening, to build muscle

Get a longer saw

Sharpen the saw

Put more pressure on the saw as the teeth engage the tree

The best answer is to Sharpen the saw.  The moral of this question is to have good tools (a saw, meditation, journaling) and use them, whether to chop down trees, achieve peace & happiness, or whatever is important to you. ~BG

When I signed up for Mary Dinneen and Wendy Adaska’s class, “The Art of Living Well,” I was excited to learn some new things about the body/mind/spirit connection. I ended up getting so much out of the class; it ended up completely exceeding my expectations. The classes were carefully planned, and the two teachers were full of insights, stories, and examples that helped the content come alive for me. They were professional and approachable, and they created an open, safe environment for learning and sharing.

At each class session, I enjoyed hearing from my classmates, sharing my observations, reading helpful articles, and practicing strategies for achieving balance. Each class was a mini retreat for me, a gift I gave myself.

Mary and Wendy are skilled teachers and guides who care deeply about sharing what they have learned about balanced, healthy living. I am grateful to have had the experience to learn from them.  ~ KP

I attended the Art of Living Well classes and I am so glad that I did.

Mary and Wendy were warm and welcoming . They each were very eager to share their journeys’ with the group as they taught what they have learned.  I have learned that simply paying attention to my breathing and my thoughts can help me to relax. The importance of self care demands additional focus to my current behaviors! With practice, I hope to arrive at the joy, peace and freedom that these wellness tools encourage. After attending this class,  I am hopeful that the basic daily practices that were presented will have a positive impact on my life.

Many thanks to Mary and Wendy for this class. ~ CE
