Policies

ATTENTION NEW PATIENTS: What you Need to Know Before Your First Appointment

Hours are by appointment only. There are both day and evening appointments available. Please download the appropriate intake form, complete and bring with you to your first appointment.

Oriental Medicine/Acupuncture – Your first appointment is a consultation. We will conduct a thorough review of your current health complaints, life style habits and health history. Expect the appointment to last at least one (1) hour. Upon completion of the consultation, you will be informed as to the time and cost investment that may be involved in treating your health complaint.

Your second appointment, which may or may not be following your consult, will be your acupuncture appointment. This appointment will last approximately 50 minutes. For your comfort, wear loose fitting clothing — ie., pant legs that can be moved above your knees.

Follow up health consults last 50 minutes at which time a review of your current health conditions will be examined. Recommendations regarding the continuation of your health habits will be discussed.

Massage Therapy – Your first appointment will include a brief discussion regarding your main complaint followed with a 60 minute treatment. Please expect to disrobe to your comfort. For best results for low back and hip complaints we request but not mandatory that all undergarments be removed. For your comfort and privacy, please know that you are always appropriately draped during your treatment.

Personal Healing Session – Your initial appointment will last approximately 1.5 hours. Follow up appointments are approximately 50-60 minutes  All sessions include time for sharing, discussion regarding tools for change and then conclude with a mindful centering exercise.

Preferred Health Solutions Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing Preferred Health Solutions, the office of Mary Dinneen, LOM, RScP and Wendy Adaska, LMT, RScP.  If you find that you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, please contact the office 24 and preferably 48 hours prior to a cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment. (Please note that with a 48 hour notice it is much easier to fill the appointment time.)

A strict cancellation policy is enforced and a rescheduling fee of 1/2 your appointment cost will be assessed if you do not show for your appointment or you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hour notice and wish to reschedule. If we receive a call, an email or text 24 hours prior to your appointment and you receive an acknowledgment from us then a rescheduling fee will not apply. If a second appointment is missed without notice within six months, then the full amount of the session will be required in order to reschedule.

Please note that due to being a small office, reminders will be made with an email. If you do not have this available or do not check your email regularly then the responsibility will be yours as we are not able to make reminder calls.

Please note that if you choose to use text, we do not always hear them or may not respond after getting one if busy in the day. If you do not receive a response to your text please contact your practitioner again!
